Where we are

A stone's throw from Mont Amiata, Radicofani, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni hot springs and San Casciano. We are 18 Km from the A1 motorway, between Rome and Florence (exit: Chiusi- Chianciano Terme ), 4 Km from S.S. Cassia, in front of S. Quirico d’Orcia and Pienza.

How to get to Castelvecchio from the main motorway Roma-Firenze:
– Exit Chiusi Chianciano Terme
– Proceed towards Chianciano Terme
– After about 7 km , take the left bifurcation towards Monte Amiata - Cassia
– After 10 m turn right heading towards Monte Amiata – Cassia (this is the ring road that allows you to avoid entering Chianciano)
– Follow the directions for Monte Amiata – Cassia
– After 4 Km you will arrive to La Foce (Cipressi), continue down hill
– After two bifurcations, one for Contignano and the other for Siena, continue straight on following the directions for Castelvecchio.
– After about 400 m , just before an overpass, towards the left, you will find Borgo di Castelvecchio
– A dirt Road leads up to the hamlet
– The Borgo is about 18 Km from the motorway exit

How to get to Castelvecchio from Siena (via SS Cassia)
– Follow the directions for Rome
– Continue towards Rome , passing by the towns of Monteroni d’Arbia and Buonconvento
– Once passed S. Quirico d’Orcia, After 4 km, turn left for Contignano, Chianciano Terme, Roma at the crossroad
– Follow this road for 4 km, at the crossroad for Pienza (on the left) and Bagni San Filippo (on the right) continue straight for another 5 km.
– Just before the overpass, take the right towards Rome and Abbadia S. Salvatore and continue straight on for about 400m : the entrance to Castelvecchio will be on the left
– A dirt Road leads up to the hamlet
