The "Borgo di Castelvecchio federal riding centre" is located in the heart of the Orcia Valley, a UNESCO world heritage site in Tuscany, a stone's throw from Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico, Radicofani e Chianciano Terme.
The riding centre is part of the Borgo di Castelvecchio estate which extends over 800 hecters between fields and hills, confined by the Orcia and Fermone rivers.
The centre includes:
- An indoor sand court mt. 45×24;
- An outdoor sand court mt. 52×32;
- A sand horse walker 20 mt. in diameter;
- A sand horse walker 20 mt. in diameter.
The stable includes:
- 18 Boxes (mt.3×3) separated from the indoor court by a large corridor;
- 2 Boxes (mt. 3×4);
- 2 Delivery rooms;
- 8 outdoor boxes.
All horse riders are welcome to take a rest after training sessions at the hamlet, which overlooks both the agricultural grounds and the equestrian centre. Between the houses, you will find two events halls for technical lessons and/or small conferences and the ancient Granary, which offers one large hall dedicated to replenishment and an adjacent hall with a pool table to enjoy during moments of relaxation.
The technical team of the Borgo di Castelvecchio equestrian centre consists of a OTEB Technician who oversees riders starting from their very first lessons and approach to horses and a second level FISE instructor that guides the more expert riders towards agonistic competitions. The centre's veterinarian is also available for consultations if necessary.
